Designers at Honda worked tirelessly to make the experience onboard the Civic Sedan more convenient than ever before with a lineup of cutting-edge technologies. Included among these are:
Smart Entry: Smart Entry, which comes standard in all but the Civic Sedan base model, allows drivers to unlock and enter the car, start up the engine via the push-button start feature, drive the car, and then relock it without ever touching the key. As long as the fob is within range, the rest is easy!
Navigation: An available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice recognition helps Civic Sedan drivers find their destinations with ease. Features include advanced graphics, including 3D building and terrain renderings; lane guidance with a split screen to display exits and road signs; a live search function; free map updates for five years; Honda HD Digital Traffic; Song by Voice; and more.
HondaLink: HondaLink, standard in all but the Civic Sedan base model, enables drivers to stay current on their car’s maintenance with incredible ease. This system delivers important vehicle information from Honda directly to the driver, allowing Civic Sedan owners to keep the car in good repair and also respond quickly to any problems. Additional features of this system include emergency notification, which calls for emergency help in the event of an accident; locator assistance to help drivers find destinations like gas stations and restaurants; and weather information.
Remote Engine Start: The Civic Sedan’s Remote Engine Start feature, standard in all but the base model, allows drivers to remotely fire up the car’s engine from outside the vehicle and also remotely activate the climate control system. This lets drivers warm up the car’s engine and pre-heat or pre-cool the vehicle’s interior from inside a building, so the car is ready to go when they venture outside.
Smart Features: Even the most basic features have received high-tech upgrades onboard the Civic Sedan, turning up the convenience factor for drivers. Among these amenities, the car has available rain-sensing windshield wipers, which activate and adjust based on the amount of precipitation sensed on the windshield. An available auto-dimming rearview mirror similarly uses sensors to automatically dim the Civic Sedan’s rearview mirror when the high beams from another vehicle strike it. Both of these features help cut down on driver distraction, allowing motorists to stay focused on the road.
Connection Points: Technology advancements onboard the Civic Sedan further include a variety of convenient outlets for drivers and passengers to charge up and access their devices. Included among these, a 12-volt power outlet and a USB audio interface come standard. A second USB audio interface is available for the center console, and a wireless charging mat is available as an accessory for convenient in-vehicle charging of compatible smartphones.
Conveniently access your favorite audio programming and even cellphone features from right within the car through features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which come standard in all but the Civic Sedan base model. Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and Bluetooth streaming audio come standard, and features like an SMS text message function, Pandora compatibility, SiriusXM Radio, and HD Radio come standard in all but the base model.
The Civic Sedan also features three sound system choices for exceptional listening quality when you’re out on the road. A four-speaker, 160-watt audio system comes standard. In the EX, EX-T, and EX-L trims, a 180-watt sound system with eight speakers is standard. In the top-level Civic Touring trim, a 10-speaker, 450-watt Premium Audio sound system with a subwoofer comes standard.
