Sales End on a High Note for the 2014 Honda Civic
If you hadn’t heard, the 2014 Honda Civic is on its way out for the new 2015 model, but we have to say that it has been an incredible year for the Civic, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the 2015 model. We thought we’d give you one last look at the 2014 Civic as well as a little preview of what you can expect for the 2015 model.
A Favorite Among Compact Cars
The Civic has been a favorite among compact car lovers for decades now, and it’s been because Honda has stuck to their commitment of delivering an affordably priced, well-equipped, fuel-efficient compact sedan and coupe, and in fact, they have recently doubled down on the “well-equipped” part of that commitment. Honda has been working hard to redefine the idea of “standard features,” giving drivers the high-tech modern amenities they expect that many other automakers require an upgrade for.
Needless to say, Honda is very slowly dragging the competition into the modern era, equipping the entry-level Civic LX with features like:
- Bluetooth HandsFreeLink for phone and audio connectivity
- Honda’s revolutionary i-MID infotainment system with touchscreen
- Steering wheel-mounted controls for audio, phone, and cruise
- A built-in rearview camera with guidelines
- and so much more
While nearly every automaker does make these options available to drivers, we have had a hard time finding one that wouldn’t require an upgrade to be on par with the Civic LX. And if you want more features, features that you should receive with an upgrade, the Civic has the EX and EX-L trim levels.
And that brings us to our preview of the 2015 model: a fourth trim level. The Honda Civic is receiving a new Special Edition (SE) trim for the 2015 model year, and we can’t wait to see it live up to its name.
